Course Description: Introduction to health, social, cultural, and economic development issues.

Course Goal:

Understand international health, current major global health issues and their impact on resource-poor countries, and contemporary strategies in and approaches to addressing these global health challenges.

Upon completing the course, the students must be able to:

Analyze major global health issues in the context of global political, economic, environmental, and cultural settings.
Evaluate contemporary strategies and approaches to addressing global health challenges.
