Course Description: Strategies and policies of the ASEAN Member States (AMS) in the area of science and technology (S&T), S&T infrastructure across the member countries, S&T indicators in terms of their contribution to the ASEAN as a whole, S&T development in each AMS complementation, synergy and cooperation in science and technology in the whole of the ASEAN Region.
Course Objectives:
At the end of this course, the students should be able to:
1. Discuss the role of Science and Technology (S&T) in development;
2. Compare the S&T systems in the ASEAN countries; and
3. Analyze the issues in ASEAN intra- and extra-regional S&T cooperation.
