FMDS meets with Kanazawa University representatives for student exchange program

The Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) headed by Dean Primo G. Garcia met with the representatives of the Kanazawa University on 06 March 2018 at the Office of the Chancellor Conference Room, University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), Los Baños, Laguna to discuss details on the RP-Japan Student Exchange Program and research collaboration between the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) and Kanazawa University.

Dr. Koji Nakamura, a Visiting Professor of FMDS together with Dr. Atsurou Tstsumi, both from Kanazawa University, Japan visited the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) on 06 March 2018 to discuss the details on the possible Exchange Program between the Kanazawa University, Japan and University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU). The prospect of extending the exchange program to faculty members and research staff was also discussed.

Dr. Atsurou Tstsumi, an expert in health sciences and global public health, also said that potential collaboration in terms of visiting professorship and research can also be pursued with the Diploma in/Master of International Health programs.

Also present during the meeting were Prof. Inocencio E. Buot, Jr., Assoc. Prof. Consuelo DL. Habito and Asst. Prof. Aurora V. Lacaste, senior project team members of the Youth for Ifugao Rice Terraces (Y4IRT) project, and Asst. Prof. Myra D.
