The Master of Public Management (MPM) Program of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), held a hybrid mini-workshop at the UPOU Diliman Learning Center, UP Diliman, and via Zoom, on 31 July 2024.
The workshop covered topics such as standardization of course sites and course, study, activity, assignment, and final examination guides; sharing of open and distance e-learning (ODeL) best practices; and updates on the status of MPM initiatives–all with the objective of making the program more accessible, inclusive, and relevant to stakeholders in support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
The participants include MPM faculties-in-charge composed of UPOU regular and affiliate faculty members, and senior and professorial lecturers from the academe, private sector, government agencies, and non-profit organizations, with the able assistance of Ms. Janele Ann Belegal, FMDS Instruction Support Staff.
The day’s event concluded with a short turnover ceremony for the MPM Program Chair. Asst. Prof. Lianne Angelico C. Depante, who will be pursuing a Ph.D. in Advanced Policy Studies (Global Governance Program) at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo, Japan, turned over the program leadership role to Asst. Prof. Regina A. Mendoza-Armiendo. The FMDS, through Asst. Prof. Mendoza-Armiendo, expressed its sincerest gratitude to Asst. Prof. Depante for his dedicated service to the MPM Program.
