In line with the upcoming Project LAKBAY (Learning Actively through Knowledge-Based Appreciation for Youth), in partnership with Edu-Connect Southeast Asia Association – Taiwan, through its International University Social Responsibility (IUSR) program from 04 – 14 February 2025, the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) will be conducting the second FMDS Market Day on 13 February 2025 (Thursday).

This event is a vibrant celebration of showcasing the UPOU’s growing movement of sustainable approaches with potential for local communities’ adaptation forwarding to the IUSR initiatives. Thus, we are offering the opportunity for UPOU faculty, staff, and students, local businesses, permaculture advocates, entrepreneurs, farmers, artists, researchers, and other stakeholders and enthusiasts to showcase their products and sell their goods with Alitaptap Community Currency (CC), fostering entrepreneurship and creativity within the community while contributing to a meaningful cause.

To promote sustainability and inclusivity, an onboarding session to the digital Alitaptap CC will be conducted during the Market Day.

If you are interested to be one of our concessionaires who will showcase products and pre-loved items by accepting payment through (1) full Alitaptap Community Currency (CC) and (2) cash & CC, kindly register through https://url.upou.edu.ph/FMDSMarketDayRegistrationForm.
