Following the previously launched Lifestyle Garden introducing plants known for added values, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) will officially launch the Kubo Cafe situated at the FMDS Perma G.A.R.D.E.N. (Growing Appreciation towards Resilience, Development, Entrepreneurship, and Nutrition).
This initiative is part of driving ways to generate income through value-adding locally produced plants with simple menu consisting of cold-water herbal infusions, juice, and hot teas directly from the garden, as well as promoting local produce such as Sulu Coffee and hopia from Zamboanga, Philippines, fostering a sense of community pride and local consumption. Lastly, this event will raise awareness on permaculture practices and the cultivation of added-value plants as a sustainable source of income.
Have the opportunity to gain knowledge in establishing your own permaculture gardens, while creating a vibrant network of individuals involved in permaculture. Catch us on-site on 06 November 2024 (Wednesday), 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM at the FMDS Perma G.A.R.D.E.N.
