A milestone for gender-responsive education!
The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) – Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), in collaboration with the Office of Gender Concerns (OGC), officially re-launched the Gender Sensitivity Training Microcredential as part of the Gender and Development Microcredentials Series last 30 March 2026.
This re-launch is a meaningful step forward in UPOU’s continuing efforts to strengthen Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL) as a powerful vehicle for Women Empowerment and Gender and Development. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our institution’s commitment to making quality, gender-responsive education accessible to all.
More than a credential, this program is a call to action, empowering gender-focused professionals with the knowledge and competencies they need to create meaningful impact within their organizations and communities.
Watch the re-launch video here and be part of this movement toward a more inclusive and equitable society.
This initiative contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
