The Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) Faculty and Staff Welfare Committee (FSWC) conducted a Mindfulness Meditation Session on 01 July 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, at the UPOU Audio-Visual Room, Los Baños, Laguna. The activity aimed to promote the mental well-being and resilience of FMDS faculty and staff by introducing practical mindfulness techniques to help manage stress, reduce fatigue and burnout, improve focus, and support healthier work practices in an online work environment.

The program formally opened with a welcome message from Dr. Finaflor F. Taylan, Dean of FMDS. In her message, she underscored the importance of taking intentional pauses amidst work demands and encouraged faculty and staff to prioritize their overall well-being alongside their professional responsibilities.

The highlight of the event was the mindfulness meditation session facilitated by Ms. Erma S. Tidon, a mindfulness facilitator, coach, and hypnotherapy practitioner dedicated to helping individuals develop greater self-awareness, emotional well-being, and inner balance. During the interactive session, Ms. Tidon guided participants through meditation exercises designed to cultivate present-moment awareness and relaxation. Participants actively engaged in the guided activities and reflected on how mindfulness can be incorporated into both their professional and personal lives.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Edric D. Estrella, Chair of the FMDS FSWC. He expressed his appreciation to Ms. Erma S. Tidon for sharing her expertise, recognized the committee members for organizing the activity, and thanked the participants for their active engagement. He also reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to promoting the holistic well-being of FMDS faculty and staff through initiatives that support Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): Good Health and Well-being.
