
On 27–28 November 2025, in Iloilo City, Philippines, UP Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) Dean and Social Work Program Chair, Dr. Finaflor F. Taylan received dual honors from the National Association for Social Work Education, Inc. (NASWEI), an association of educators and schools of Social Work in the Philippines.
Dean Taylan was awarded a Plaque of Recognition and a Certificate of Commendation in acknowledgment of her distinguished nomination for the prestigious NASWEI Outstanding Social Worker Award.
These recognitions highlight Dr. Taylan’s exceptional dedication to service, exemplary professional practice, and unwavering commitment to the principles and ethics of the social work profession.
